The safe BOAT LAUNCHING facility at Maasbaai and fishing trips can be arranged for visitors.

Beach fishing is very popular on the East end of the main beach, at David’s Kraal picnic area.

The Palmiet River, between Bettys Bay and Kleinmond, is a popular swimming and hang-out spot, and is great for rock and bridge jumping.

The Palmiet River tumbles through the Fynbos covered mountains of the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, just outside Kleinmond, about an hour's drive from Cape Town. This pristine natural environment forms the backdrop to our Palmiet River Experience.

Visit the Rooisand nature reserve a few kilometers east of Kleinmond for wild horses and birdlife

Harbour Road is the place to be. There are quaint shops, an art gallery, pottery and craft and interior stores and the seafood restaurants serve fresh fish and sushi. Developers are currently constructing a new 'waterfront' but all shops are open for business.
